The Importance of Branding

Enesia is ransacking everything in her tiny room that she shares with Enelis, her younger sister. Enesia has film auditions that she must attend at 8 am, but she’s running late. She can’t find what she’s looking for. “Enelis!” shouts Enesia. “Wake up and rush to the Spaza shop and buy me, Colgate.” Enelis bolts out of bed. She’s visibly sleepy and exhausted but follows her sister’s order.

A few minutes later, Enelis is back: “Here is your Colgate.” Enesia, looks at her, confusedly and shouts: “This is not the Colgate I wanted!”

Have you ever been in Enesia’s shoes?

Yes!!! Most of us have kicked stones in them.

Enesia wanted a certain brand of toothpaste, but in her mind the word ‘Colgate’ was etched. She subconsciously calls all kinds of toothpaste ‘Colgate’.

Why is it so?

It’s because the brand has been communicated a lot and injected into the minds of audiences at the locus of reception – it outshines its competitors.

Mass Communication and behavioural scientists believe that constant dissemination of information or its strategic placement makes it more familiar to audiences. As a result, when buying certain products or selecting services, the brand that they are familiar with is likely to be their choice.

Isn’t your brand just any other brand? Are you known?

If you’re not sure, it’s either you need branding or reinforcing your brand.

What are the advantages of branding?

Branding takes you or your products to the world. It introduces you to potential clients. Did you know that it also comes with credibility?

Why do people choose to board cars with number plates over those without? If numbers can earn credibility, what about your brand that can speak to audiences? Credibility!!!

You don’t want to come across as a fly-by-night. Give the world a point of departure in their search for the little that they have heard about you – lead them to your work.

Do you know your vehicles can be a mobile Ad screen? Or that your staff uniforms can bear your logo and sell it on the go?

We do screen printing, manufacture clothes in-house, embroidery, debossing and embossing, dye sublimation printing, laser cutting and many more.
